Preferences

How often do you wish to recieve email notifications of unread conversations?

Note: Realtime notifications will send you an email for each message you receive while you are not online.

By default, you will be able to view a list of members who have recently looked at your profile. These will show on the home page after you login, on the mini-chat window, and on the mobile site.

You may decide to disable this feature. Doing so will prevent you from being displayed for other members when you look at their profile. Additionally, you will not be able to see who has looked at your profile.

On Bear Underground we periodically use photos of our members for promotional purposes, primarily in the photo grid on the login page. If you do not wish to have your photo included in these displays, you can set your profile to be hidden.

General Information

Note about browser compatibility: Our photo upload setup utilizes advanced HTML5 uploading technology. This is fully compatible with IE10+, Firefox, and Chrome. If you are on an earlier version of IE (IE8 or IE9), you MUST have Adobe Flash Player installed and working in your browser, otherwise the Upload Photos link won't work. Alternative browsers such as AOL may have problems and are not recommended for use.

Photos

Click on Upload Photos to select images to upload (or drag and drop them from your desktop onto the field). You can select a main image by clicking the Star icon. If you do not have a main image selected, the first photo in the list will be used. Content entered in the Description field will show below your photo. To make a photo private, enter in "Y" (Without the quotes) into the Make Private field. To remove a photo from being private, just delete the content in that field.

You can edit photos by clicking on the Pencil icon. You have options of editing the original images, or the generated resized images. The Small and Medium sizes are square thumbnails used across the site. The large image is the uncropped version.

Do not upload copyright protected photos unless you have permission to do so.

Allowed Image Types: .jpg, .jpeg, .png

Nude photos are NOT allowed in this upload location. Any nude photos must be uploaded to the Adult Photos section below.

Location

The location information you enter will be used to show other members where you are in relation to them. The Zipcode field is only used for geolocation purposes, and is not displayed on your profile. For privacy reasons, we do not take a full address for determining a location.

The Geotag feature is required. This takes the information you've entered into the fields above and gets a matching latitude and longitude. Since we do not take a full address, and the only required location data is country, you are in control of how accurate that information is. The latitude and longitude will be used for features where we show you members that are near you.

Upon clicking the "Geotag Entry" button, you will see a map with a marker showing the latitude and longitude location that's matched from the information you provided. You can drag and drop the marker if you wish to change it's location.

This address information can be changed and updated anytime.

Before Geotagging, make sure you have entered the address information for this entry.
